Vinyasa Flow is a discipline that utilizes postures and breathing techniques. This form of yoga offers a range of health benefits to those who practice it, as it encompasses all areas of mind, body and spirit. A great class for students new to yoga.
This class focuses on teaching a balanced traditional lifestyle of active health and radiance through yoga, breathing, and meditation. Breathing, posture, and natural movements will be explored. Students will gain health and mental clarity through the practice of chi "energy" cultivation. Flexibility and strength will be harnessed through yoga practices of standing, sitting, twisting, balancing, inverting, and lifting. Perfect for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Ashtanga yoga is a physically challenging form of yoga, shown to build strength, improve flexibility, relieve stress, and create holistic well-being. This exciting class comprises of Suryanamaskara A and B (sun salutations), Yoga Chikitsa (primary series), and finishing sequence. Through vinyasa, it links breath to movement, as well as emphasizes shwasa breathing, bandhas (energy locking) and dristhi (point of gazing). Meditation and mantra chanting, as well as pranayama breathing techniques form part of this practice, with various modifications suitable for all levels of practitioners.
Hatha Yoga uses postures (asanas) and stretches in combination with the breath to develop flexibility, strength, and relaxation. This physical practice also acts to calm the mind and allow us to feel calmer, balanced, and present. This class is open to beginners and beyond. The class will provide a well-rounded practice including Sun Salutations, standing and seated postures, back bends, and inversions.
Tai Chi Chuan is a traditional martial art focusing on strength, balance and inner calm. Taoist and Yang family style Tai Chi forms will be taught. Beginners and all levels welcome.
Latin dance cardio designed to be a fun workout. All levels and experience welcome.
